About the Role
As a Renewal Business Pricing, Analyst, you will perform re-pricing for existing clients and prepare meaningful insight and analysis presentations.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in renewal business strategic pricing execution, promptly and effectively.
- Assist in providing leadership to ensure proposed pricing aligns with agreed policies and guidelines within service level agreements.
- Provide guidance to staff on a solution-driven approach to meet customer needs, combining technical and business intuition.
- Assist in providing guidance to the team on in-depth analysis, consultative insights, and solutions for clients.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve pricing capability within the team, including pricing methodology reviews, pricing and underwriting skills, computing skills, business intuition, data analysis, and system knowledge.
- Develop, maintain, and update pricing models, ensuring alignment with agreed rules, policies, guidelines, and service level agreements.
- Provide in-depth trend analysis, benchmarking, and insights to clients, making professional recommendations and articulating them in a presentable way.
- Prepare SLA/TAT reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Analytics Team to determine the right Cost and Utilization Report modelling capable of producing accurate and useful analysis for clients.
- Work closely with the Medical Team to institutionalize the methodology in preparing trend analysis, benchmarking, and insights that factor in cost containment.
- Assist in the team's capability development, both technical and soft skills.
- Plan and manage team resources effectively, utilizing individual strengths and work styles.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of related working experience in the insurance industry.
- Experience in Health Actuarial, Group Business Underwriting, Medical Pricing, and/or Employee Benefits.
- Experience in pricing modelling, including development and application.
- Strong business and commercial awareness, with the ability to see things from the customer's perspective.
- Proficiency in statistical and computing skills, such as MS Excel and SQL.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into decisions.
- Ability to work in an environment with constantly evolving priorities and adapt to change.
- Can-do personality, creative and innovative in problem-solving.
- Excellent prioritization, execution, and multi-tasking skills, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting performance targets.
- Hard-working, disciplined, and proactive in developing personal and technical skills.
