Description

Prudential is seeking an Assistant Manager, Business Continuity Management (BCM) to support the implementation, maintenance, and execution of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Programme.

The successful candidate will focus on coordination, documentation, monitoring, and reporting to ensure departments comply with BCM requirements and are prepared to respond effectively to disruptions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with business units to collect, compile, and maintain BCM artefacts, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), call trees, Tabletop Exercise, IT Disaster Recovery, and related records.
  • Provide security input for business travel by assessing destinations, routes, checkpoints, transport methods, local restrictions, recent incidents, and traveller-specific considerations.
  • Monitor emerging threats, assess employee impacts, escalate material concerns, support HR and CMT response actions, and coordinate CMT activation and meeting.
  • Provide operational and coordination support to the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Programme, ensuring BCM activities, documentation, and timelines are properly tracked and maintained.
  • Guide departments on the use of BCM templates and required information and perform initial completeness and consistency checks before submission to the BCM Manager.
  • Monitor BCM deliverables and review cycles, follow up on outstanding or overdue items, and escalate gaps, risks, or delays to the BCM Manager.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and documentation of BCM tests, exercises, and awareness activities, including attendance tracking and post-exercise records.
  • Maintain accurate BCM documentation, trackers, and repositories to support regional office, including audit and due-diligence requests.
  • Prepare status updates, summaries, and reports on BCM activities for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement of BCM practices through administrative follow-up, documentation updates, and action tracking.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management, operational risk, or related control function.
  • Experience working in a regulated or structured corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Myanmar's local operating environment, including security, political, travel, infrastructure, regulatory, and business continuity conditions.
  • Familiarity with security advisory tools such as EXERA is a plus.
  • Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related degree.
  • Experience with BCM or resilience certification is a plus.
  • Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure during incidents.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up discipline.
