Description
The Children with Disabilities service, part of London Borough of Redbridge, is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their team. The service is OFSTED rated outstanding and offers a wide range of experiences, including completing Children and Family Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, S47 enquiries, Child Protection Conferences, Court and Tribunal work, LAC processes, contextual safeguarding, residential placements cases, transition work, and Children in Need cases.
As a Social Worker in this team, you will be working directly with children, supporting families with a disabled child, supporting siblings of disabled children, taking requests to the Resource Allocation Panel, managing Child Protection and court cases. You will also support disabled young people in their transition from Children’s Social Care to Adult Social Care and the Leaving Care Service. The role involves working closely with various professionals, including health, Occupational Therapy, and Education (SEN).
The ideal candidate should have substantive experience of working with children, young people, and their families, excellent writing skills, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children. Experience of completing assessments and developing SMART care plans for children, young people, and their families is also required.
