Description
NVIDIA is seeking a passionate, well-rounded EHS professional to lead Environmental, Health and Safety for NVIDIA's EMEA offices. Based in Munich and reporting to the EMEA EHS Senior Manager in Israel, this role ensures safe, compliant, and sustainable operations across a growing portfolio of R&D sites , including automotive and robotics labs in Germany and Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative for the Munich campus, with regular travel to Zurich and oversight of EMEA locations including Germany, Switzerland, the UK, France, the Nordics, and Poland.
- Lead EHS compliance reviews across EMEA sites , documenting findings, driving corrective actions, and ensuring alignment with both local regulations and global NVIDIA EHS standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems: procedures, training programs, inspections, chemical management, and corrective action tracking.
- Monitor German and EMEA regulatory requirements; support risk assessments, permit management, recordkeeping, and regulatory inspections in collaboration with local advisors.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, conduct root-cause analyses, and follow through on corrective actions with local management and HR.
- Provide dedicated EHS support to Munich's automotive team and Zurich's robotics operations, including risk assessments, human–robot interaction safeguards, and fleet safety procedures.
- Design and deliver EHS training , including e-learning via NVLearn , tailored to EMEA engineers, technical staff, and site-specific requirements.
- Partner with RESS, Facilities, HR, Legal, Security, and Sustainability/ESG teams to coordinate EHS input on site expansions, reconfigurations, and new lab build-outs.
- Maintain EHS documentation and support regional metrics that feed into global EHS and ESG reporting.
- Champion a proactive safety culture by identifying emerging risks, engaging site stakeholders, and continuously improving EHS performance across the region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental/Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- About 8-10 years of progressive EHS experience in high-tech, R&D, automotive, robotics, semiconductor, manufacturing, or similar environments; multi-site responsibility is a plus.
- Familiarity with European and German EHS regulations and procedures, including risk assessments, workplace safety, and lab safety, along with experience addressing audit or inspection findings.
- Experience supporting EHS programs in labs or technical environments and confidence working with engineers and technical staff.
- Practical experience with EHS management frameworks, covering procedures, training, and corrective action tracking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence collaborators, run effective meetings, and drive completion of EHS actions across remote sites.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently as an individual contributor, manage several priorities across regions and sites, and anticipate and address EHS risks.
- Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are strongly preferred.
