Description
You will work as a Senior Applications Engineer - Custom Implementation Platform at Synopsys, a leading provider of engineering solutions from silicon to systems. The role involves working with customers to resolve simulation and methodology issues, deploying analog simulation flows, and providing technical training sessions.
The ideal candidate has experience in analog or custom design, with a solid understanding of full custom and analog design flow, including schematic capture, layout, analog verification, and physical verification. They should have hands-on experience with analog or mixed-signal simulation using SPICE, FastSPICE, or similar tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical evaluations and benchmarks for customers
- Deploying analog simulation flows, including SPICE, FastSPICE, and mixed-signal simulation
- Debugging simulation convergence issues and performance bottlenecks
- Demonstrating cloud-based analog design flows
- Delivering technical training sessions and providing on-site support
- Documenting customer issues and enhancement requests
- Supporting pre-sales activities
The role offers the opportunity to enable customer tapeouts, help win competitive evaluations, accelerate customer adoption of Synopsys tools, contribute to product improvements, build relationships with customer design teams, and develop reusable methodologies and solutions.
Requirements include a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a Bachelor's degree in EE/CS with 2+ years of relevant experience as a circuit designer or CAD engineer. Strong communication skills, scripting skills in TCL, Perl, or Python, and a willingness to travel for customer visits are also necessary.
The salary range for this position is $109,000-$163,000.
