Description
Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity's reach into the solar system. Today, Astranis satellites provide dedicated, secure networks to highly-sophisticated customers across the globe, large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military.
As a Production Quality Intern, you will work with Design, Production, Quality, and Test engineering teams to develop inspection and verification procedures. You will support root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to mitigate non-conformance issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for continuous improvement in quality. You will also support process and systems development to improve production quality and develop dashboards, metrics, and visuals to help identify and monitor factory health.
Requirements:
- A passion for hardware development and manufacturing systems, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
Bonus:
- Previous internship or coursework experience in a similar role
- Experience with quality management systems or hardware manufacturing
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
