Power System Lead, Launch Recovery Vehicle (R6025)

You will define and execute the vision of the Launch and Recovery Vehicle power system from concept to production. This includes power generation, regulation, distribution, power quality, control, and more.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art high-power systems for optimal performance and reliability in harsh environments.
• Guide teammates toward custom power electronic designs.
• Enable an uninterruptible power system.
• Conduct make vs. buy trade studies, select, test, and integrate modules for use in the aircraft.
• Ensure system performance and reliability through rigorous verification.
• Debug complex problems related to electrical design, environmental issues, and manufacturing.
• Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to power system design.
• Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture.
• Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership.

Requirements:

• Experience in power system design on a large vehicle, aircraft, or equivalent power system.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of delivering power system and power electronic products to market.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment.
• Strong technical fundamentals and analysis.
