Systems Engineer - Data Security

About the Role

As a Systems Engineer - Data Security at Cloudflare, you will help build and maintain Data Security products. These products empower customers to gain deep visibility into Cloud/SaaS security opportunities and into trends in their network traffic and product use.

Responsibilities

• Building new functionality into APIs and distributed code while ensuring performance and reliability of services that ingest millions of data points each day
• Working with a team of bright, knowledge-seeking engineers who are focused on solving security and network visibility challenges for customers
• Utilizing technologies such as Go, Python, Typescript, Kubernetes, Cloudflare Workers, AWS, GCP, Azure, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Clickhouse, and BigQuery

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience building and managing reliable and performant software systems at scale
• Experience with technologies like Go, Python, Postgres
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for making the digital world a more secure place

Nice to Have

• Frontend programming experience in Typescript/Javascript
• Previous experience working with third-party API integrations
• Previous experience working on security products
