Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

The Propulsion Manufacturing Team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for the Core Technologies Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the disposition and rework of engines that fail internal acceptance test or are returned by customers
  • Diagnose engine-level issues by analyzing test data, inspecting hardware, and driving each failure to its true root cause
  • Author clear, complete rework instructions and partner closely with production to communicate tasks, priorities, and expectations
  • Manage configuration across the EBOM and MBOM to keep every engine traceable to its correct build state
  • Lead teardown and inspection of returned engines, documenting findings and determining whether components are serviceable, repairable, or scrap
  • Define and manage upgrade paths that bring legacy-configuration engines to the current standard
  • Feed failure findings back to design, quality, and reliability engineering so recurring issues are corrected at the source
  • Estimate rework scope, cost, and turnaround time, and coordinate with planning and supply chain to signal hardware demand
  • Verify that every reworked engine meets requirements and passes acceptance testing before it ships to the customer
  • Maintain accurate as-built records so each engine's final configuration is fully documented after rework

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in turbomachinery component manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-performance industrial gas turbine industries
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably NX or similar
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and other advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating automation, robotics, or advanced metrology systems into manufacturing workflows
  • Owned end-to-end equipment development and implementation

Benefits:

  • Highly competitive equity grants
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including comprehensive and competitive benefits package
