Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Presentation Software Engineer to join the EA SPORTS™ NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Presentation Software Engineer, you will develop and support core technologies that bring the game's storytelling and broadcast presentation to life.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with designers, animators, artists, and engineers to develop immersive presentation features and authentic broadcast experiences.
  • Designing and implementing robust runtime architectures for dynamic cameras, cinematic sequences, transitions, and broadcast overlays.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams on requirements analysis, technical design, and documentation for presentation features.
  • Profiling, debugging, and optimizing presentation features across multiple platforms to ensure high performance.
  • Leveraging internal and external technologies within the Frostbite ecosystem to improve content workflows and team efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional software or game development experience, preferably within large, multiplatform codebases.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ with a solid foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging production-level software or game engine systems.
  • Experience with scripting or managed languages (e.g., Python, C#, Lua) for tooling and automation is a plus.
  • Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools to rapid prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows.
  • Understanding of memory management, multithreading, and runtime optimization.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
