Description
We are seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join our Energy Projects team. As a Senior Structural Technician, you will work on a variety of interesting projects in the Energy sector, producing and supervising coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit, and preparing engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information.
You will work closely with key external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes. Your experience in Energy Structures as a Technician, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, and knowledge of BIM technologies will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit
- Prepare engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information
- Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues
- Use BIM technologies to prepare concise engineering drawings
- Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects
Requirements:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in Energy Structures as a Technician
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs
- Strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role
- Proficiency at planning and organising workload
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines
