Description
We are seeking a Senior Product Quality & Root Cause Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Haw River, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating market failures to determine root cause, coordinating countermeasures with relevant teams, and driving improvement activities to enhance specified metrics such as warranty ratio and claim rate.
Job Purpose: As a Senior Product Quality & Root Cause Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products. You will lead or support complex market quality investigations, identify root causes, and develop countermeasures to address market issues. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing and presenting technical reports, and contributing to the development of processes and procedures for the Technical Analysis team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate market failures to determine root cause and develop countermeasures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor improvement activities
- Prepare and present technical reports to top management and other stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for the Technical Analysis team
- Monitor the market for assigned models and provide technical perspective on potential issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality-related responsibilities
- Strong presentation and written communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude with a focus on root cause analysis
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in MS Suite, Solidworks (CSWA or equivalent), and GD&T
