Description
We are seeking a Checker Trading Operations to join our Direct Custody and Clearing Corporate Actions team, which provides services to institutional and retail clients in the domestic market. As a Checker Trading Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of corporate events in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Implement effective control mechanisms and monitor service quality to ensure high customer service standards
- Proactively identify and resolve problem situations to give maximum customer satisfaction
- Review contingency requirements and invoke relevant business recovery measures as necessary
- Plan for effective cross-training and conduct periodic reviews on existing procedures
- Ensure prompt escalation to the Assistant Manager/Manager for all matters that may present a potential financial loss or client service concern
- Maintain satisfactory audit/regulatory/risk ratings and be consistent with Group and Company policies and standards requirements
- Demonstrate critical and analytical skills to analyze information and generate ideas/solutions for decision-making
- Provide coaching and support to team members on operational activities
- Adapt to changes and support the Management's decisions
Requirements:
- Post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline
- At least 3 years of securities experience with exposure to Corporate Actions
- Strong leadership skills and organizational skills
- Relevant Securities background and knowledge
- Fluency in English and good conversational skills
- Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge, and understand numeric data
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize workloads
Preferred Skills:
- Broad understanding of Corporate Action processes and market specifications
- Experience in both Direct Custody and Global Custody
- GHSS, AWD, SME, and GMG systems experience and knowledge
- Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese
