Supervisor, Analytical Laboratory

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory General Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Analytical Laboratory and provide guidance to laboratory personnel.

The Clinical Laboratory General Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Providing day-to-day supervision of laboratory personnel
• Managing the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and troubleshooting technical and non-technical issues
• Performing administrative duties, such as writing employee performance evaluations and reviewing standard operating procedures
• Coaching and mentoring Clinical Laboratory Scientists and laboratory associates
• Managing the testing and validation of new procedures and laboratory equipment
• Performing laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses according to laboratory standard operating procedures
• Reviewing, interpreting, and reporting study results in the laboratory information management system
• Performing quality control procedures and maintaining stringent standards for quality
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Automation, Development, Quality, and laboratory Information Management

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license
• A Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or a related field
• Six or more years of CLS licensed work experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Strong understanding of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

We offer a competitive salary range of $166,250 - $194,775 per year, plus equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
