Description
MongoDB is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own scalability for the Atlas data platform. Atlas supports demanding applications such as real-time gaming, financial transactions, and AI workloads. The successful candidate will set the strategy and drive execution for scaling features, ensuring reliable and predictable performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop a clear vision and strategy for Atlas cluster scalability.
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for vertical scaling, autoscaling, and horizontal scaling.
- Make prioritization decisions, including saying no to certain features.
- Build technical understanding of Atlas scaling internals.
- Represent product direction to stakeholders.
- Understand customer pain points and define success metrics.
- Lead cross-functional execution and mentor junior PMs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience on complex, infrastructure-level products.
- Demonstrated success owning enterprise-grade products end-to-end.
- Technical fluency and ability to discuss architecture and tradeoffs with engineers.
- Track record of taking products from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 50.
- Strong customer-orientation and field-connection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical skills and metrics rigor.
- Demonstrated decision-making speed and conviction under ambiguity.
