Description
Electronic Arts is seeking an Assistant Game Designer - NHL to join their team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will work on creating narrative content for players, requiring deep knowledge of hockey and a genuine passion for the sport.
Responsibilities:
- Set up live content for World of Chel live service release plan, including vanity store, rewards systems, and events.
- Coordinate and assist with data entry verification.
- Provide feedback and input on live service plans and schedules, store layouts, pricing, event schedules, and types.
- Connect and understand data and analytics related to the World of Chel live service plan and its performance.
- Identify potential live service opportunities.
- Support live launches.
- Create writing content related to live service content.
- Work with NHL producers to understand targets and priority changes.
- Communicate progress and quality effectively with the NHL team.
- Manage dependencies and coordinate deliverables across teams.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of background in game design and/or production, with relevant experience working on a live service with tight deadlines, having shipped at least one AAA title as a producer or designer.
- Passion for and deep understanding of hockey.
- Good knowledge of the EA SPORTS NHL franchise.
Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the game of hockey and leagues around the world.
- Keen eye for small details and live changes to the real hockey world.
- Ability to work in a team setting and autonomously on individual projects.
- Ability to work with individuals from different disciplines.
- Ability to come up with and document creative ideas.
- Good eye for game quality and strong advocate for the end-user experience.
