Description
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team at Spring Hill Practice, a friendly and professional GP practice based in North East Hackney. As a Practice Nurse, you will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.
The main duties of the job include:
- Providing holistic, patient-centred care across primary care services
- Delivering travel health advice covering vaccinations, medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, and sun protection
- Administering vaccines under Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
- Running well person clinics and health promotion programmes
- Assessing and treating minor injuries
- Performing venepuncture, wound care, ECGs, and suture removal
- Maintaining accurate consultation records and demonstrating awareness of safeguarding responsibilities
- Leading on infection prevention and control
- Monitoring and maintaining clinical stock and equipment
