Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist for our Acute Care locations in the Greater Charlotte area. This is a PRN opportunity, not a float or travel position.
Job Summary As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, establish care plans, and provide therapy services to help them achieve optimal function and mobility.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized care plans
- Gather and interpret data from medical records, physician reports, and patient interactions
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff
- Provide patient and family education on therapeutic techniques and home programs
- Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers
Physical Requirements
- Hearing and vision adequate for communication and reading
- Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, and lift patients and equipment
- Occasional crouching, crawling, and reaching overhead
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Applicable state license for Physical Therapy
- CPR Certification and BLS required
