The General Merchandise Team Leader role at Target involves leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining store operations.
The starting pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, with a full pay range of $24.00 - $40.80 per hour.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team to achieve sales goals and deliver guest experiences
- Managing workload and prioritizing tasks independently
- Maintaining store operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising
- Coaching and training team members to build a guest-centric team
- Analyzing metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Effective communication skills
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
