Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer to create and manage design documentation for powertrain components and assemblies. The successful candidate will develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and ensure project producibility and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models for components and assemblies according to design guidelines and CAD standards
• Develop 2D technical drawings for production, compliant with current standards and latest production technologies
• Continuously monitor data quality and consistency, exchanging information with internal departments and external partners
• Perform periodic project checks to ensure compliance with dimensions, assembly processes, and producibility
• Manage and update component documentation in AVL-PDM and AVL Powertrain databases
• Support Lead Engineers and Project Managers during project execution
• Provide technical support to resident engineers
• Collaborate on creating documentation for training, knowledge management, and patents
• Support internal procurement of AVL components through information exchange with customers and suppliers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in scientific or engineering disciplines, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
• Practical experience in designing powertrain and/or vehicle components
• Good knowledge and utilization of 3D CAD systems (Catia and/or Creo)
• Experience in defining and applying geometric tolerances of shape, orientation, and position
• Knowledge of applicable standards and processes in the automotive sector
