Technical Artist - EA SPORTS FC

Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Artist to join the EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver, Canada. As a Technical Artist, you will be responsible for developing new and existing experiences on EA SPORTS FC, working closely with artists, project managers, and software engineers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of cinematic/games production experience, game engine experience in environment creation, and extensive experience scripting/programming in Python and C#.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new and existing experiences on EA SPORTS FC
• Work closely with artists, project managers, and software engineers
• Assume ownership over technical issues that arise on the project and bring them to resolution
• Develop and maintain art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and shader development

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of cinematic/games production experience
• Game engine experience in environment creation is preferred
• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field is desired
• Effective at communicating with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers
• Extensive experience scripting/programming in Python and C#
• Knowledge of 3D art packages (Maya)
• A solutions-provider, particularly as it pertains to testing and debugging technical issues
• A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems; the ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
