Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical strategy and roadmap for BlueField ARM processor platform boot. You will provide broad technical leadership from early firmware through Linux login.
As a Senior Software Engineer at NVIDIA, you will:
- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for BlueField platform boot integration
- Set the technical direction for platform boot integration in partnership with architecture teams and firmware partners
- Lead cross-layer technical issues and drive technical decisions with architecture and domain experts
- Define the operating model for boot integration, including interface contracts and qualification criteria
- Identify and assess emerging technologies and tools to improve product capability and engineering efficiency
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in embedded, firmware, or Linux system software
- Deep knowledge of ARM platform boot, including firmware, ATF, UEFI, and Linux kernel bring-up
- Experience leading complex cross-organizational projects and influencing architecture and product direction
- Strong C skills and practical experience with Linux development and hardware/software integration
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Hands-on experience with ATF, UEFI/EDK II, Linux kernel, or complex ARM SoC/server boot flows
- Experience with secure boot, measured boot, provisioning, firmware update, or recovery flows
- Knowledge of PCIe, I2C/I3C, SPI, SMBus, BMC interactions, and server-platform interfaces
