Description

You will apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products at Ford Motor Company.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and improve manufacturing processes and products.
  • Develop action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions.
  • Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline.
  • Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions.
  • Analyze vehicle inventory root causes and engage in mapping and corrective actions.
  • Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes.
  • Deliver capable processes and tools for Trim and Chassis Assembly operations.
  • Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards.
  • Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; internship and co-op experience considered.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma beneficial.

Salary

The salary range for this position is:

  • Salary Grade 6: $72,480 - $121,440
  • Salary Grade 7: $84,480 - $141,360
  • Salary Grade 8: $96,720 - $162,120
