Priory Hospital Llanarth Court has an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum NVQ 1 or GCSE's in Mathematics and English.
Llanarth Court is a specialist medium secure, low secure, and open rehabilitation psychiatric hospital located in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. The hospital offers convenient transport links and easy access to the A40 and A459. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans
- Providing practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs
- Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of patients and reporting any unusual occurrences to senior staff
The role requires:
- Education to a minimum NVQ 1 or GCSE's in Mathematics and English
- Understanding of the need for strict confidentiality
- Basic IT literacy
