VCARB F1 Team - Model Maker - Gantry Operational Support

We're seeking an experienced Model Maker to join our team in Milton Keynes, supporting our aerodynamic program by assembling models, preparing parts, and liaising with various teams. You will play a crucial role in enhancing and making our car faster.

Responsibilities

• Work with Team Leaders, Modelmakers, Design, and Aerodynamicists to develop wind tunnel models and testing programs
• Take personal ownership of assigned work, anticipating requirements and identifying risks
• Communicate clearly across the Aerodynamics department
• Execute day-to-day tasks, supporting model shop activities and wind tunnel work
• Manage time effectively and identify areas for process improvements
• Support the development and upskilling of junior team members

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the automotive industry or high-performance engineering sector; previous experience in Formula 1 is desirable
• Strong knowledge of Leica systems, 3D scanning, PI Toolbox, Diablo procedures, and related systems
• Flexibility to work on shifts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to provide guidance and technical support to model makers and junior team members
