Description
Electronic Arts is seeking an Associate Technical Artist to join the EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will work onsite three days a week and be part of a diverse team that combines creativity and technical expertise.
The Associate Technical Artist role involves bridging the gap between artists and engineers, focusing on art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization, integration, and shader development. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in cinematic or games production, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining art production workflows and tools
- Collaborating with artists, project managers, and engineers to optimize asset integration and shader development
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during project development
- Working closely with the Technical Art team to advance visual boundaries and experiences for players
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in cinematic/games production
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (desired)
- Effective communication skills for interacting with artists, engineers, and managers
- Proficiency in Python and C# programming languages
- Experience with 3D art packages (Maya) and other DCC tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
