Pricing Analyst II

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Pricing Analyst II to support strategic pricing initiatives. The successful candidate will provide analytical insights and data-driven recommendations to drive business growth.

Job Purpose The Pricing Analyst II supports strategic pricing initiatives for both new and existing customer opportunities by providing analytical insights and data-driven recommendations. This role independently analyzes pricing performance, market trends, customer profitability, and competitive positioning to develop pricing recommendations that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer pricing, financial, and market data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Interpret pricing reports and dashboards to identify patterns and communicate insights to leadership and business partners.
• Perform pricing root cause analysis to investigate pricing discrepancies and system exceptions.
• Review pricing exceptions, discount requests, and promotions to ensure alignment with pricing strategy and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, reports, and analytical tools to improve pricing visibility and decision-making.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to evaluate pricing strategies and support customer negotiations.

Requirements

• BS in Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of pricing and/or finance-related experience, preferably in a distributed services organization.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends and root causes.
• Proficiency with Excel and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of pricing concepts, including discounts, rebates, and customer profitability.
