Description
NVIDIA Networking is seeking a highly skilled and independent Software Engineer to join the Networking SW Tools & Automation team. The team focuses on developing and customizing tools, automation, workflows, dashboards, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance software product planning, development, validation, and delivery.
In this role, you will collaborate with SW Product Managers, Architects, R&D, QA, and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to understand their needs and challenges. You will then translate these needs into well-defined processes, workflows, data models, and tool requirements, designing and developing solutions to implement them.
AI is a core element of this role, requiring deep knowledge and hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, frameworks, coding agents, and development tools. You will apply AI to accelerate software development and integrate it into the tools and automation built for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Analyze existing workflows and translate organizational needs into well-defined processes, data models, and technical designs.
- Design, develop, and deploy tools and automation supporting the software lifecycle.
- Apply AI technologies to solve engineering and operational challenges.
- Develop AI-enabled applications and workflows to enhance user experience and decision-making.
- Customize solutions around platforms like Jira and other engineering systems.
- Build web-based tools and interactive applications consolidating information from multiple sources.
- Develop dashboards and analytics for monitoring key engineering and program indicators.
- Own solutions end-to-end, from problem discovery to deployment and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software development, internal tools, or automation experience.
- Strong hands-on software development capability.
- Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on AI expertise with modern models, frameworks, and APIs.
- Experience with relevant technologies such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, and web technologies.
- Strong systems and process thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI-native internal tools and automation platforms.
- Background in developing web applications and interactive data-driven user interfaces.
- Experience with Jira workflows, APIs, plugins, automation, dashboards, and integrations.
- Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
