Lead Java Engineer IC(Core Java, Microservices Kubernetes)/Associate Director

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering. As a Lead Java Engineer IC(Core Java, Microservices Kubernetes), you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications, utilizing Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Institute state of the art hosting platforms, promote technology sharing and leverage operating environments to achieve greater cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop an effective engineering team through collaboration, communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices.
• Create a sustainable and high performing Engineering organization that is focused on improving compliance to shared OKRs and customer experience.

Requirements:

• Strategic leader with deep knowledge of the financial services industry and global marketplace.
• Broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to technology.
• Subject matter expert in Kubernetes and DevSecOps Practices.
• Strong hands-on skills in Java based micro-service architectures.
• Solid working experience in Agile development framework and familiar with Agile tools.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement.
• Self-driven and capable of work proactively, collaboratively and effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
• Ability to write testable, maintainable code including Unit and Regression Tests.
• In-Depth understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration.
