At Ford Motor Company, you will be responsible for delivering the brake NVH performance for the program(s) you are assigned to as a Product Development Engineer-Brake NVH.
You will lead a team of suppliers, CAE, D&R and brake development engineers to develop the brake NVH attribute to meet Ford requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the brake NVH development activities for assigned program(s)
- Developing test plans, managing test parts and test schedules
- Reviewing and analyzing CAE data, test data and parts
- Leading cross-functional teams through NVH development
- Managing sign-off testing and reporting
- Monitoring warranty and TGW data for emerging NVH issues
- Evaluating brake NVH performance on corner dynos, chassis dynos and vehicles
- Working with Core NVH activity to schedule dynos and maximize dyno up time
You will also be expected to:
- Manage product release CAD and BOM structures, including assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis
- Facilitate supplier data integration and develop CAD studies to support and drive design improvements
- Understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem
- Perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- 2+ years of NVH CAE and/or foundation brake component experience
- 1+ years of CAD experience
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Experience with Brake NVH dyno and vehicle testing
- Experience in supplier management
- Experience with complex systems, analysis tools & methods
- Experience using Teamcenter (TcE) and/or 3DX
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint for presentations and data manipulation

The salary range for this position is:
- Salary Grade 5: $65,100-$109,300
- Salary Grade 6: $74,300-$124,500
- Salary Grade 7: $86,600-$144,900
- Salary Grade 8: $99,100-$166,200
