Account Manager, Local Marketplace

Axios is seeking an Account Manager for its Local Client Success team to manage and grow Axios Local Marketplace, a new offering that helps local businesses reach Axios's engaged audiences.

The ideal candidate will monitor incoming submissions, review and post listings, maintain high client experience standards, promote the semi-service model, collaborate with internal teams, track performance trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of incoming submissions
• Reviewing, editing, and posting listings on Marketplace boards and within the Charlotte newsletter
• Maintaining high client experience standards through timely communication and post-campaign performance reporting
• Promoting the semi-service model to drive awareness, adoption, and engagement
• Collaborating with internal teams to improve processes and enhance client and reader experience
• Tracking and analyzing performance trends to provide data-driven recommendations

Requirements:

• Experience working on community management or social programs
• Business development or account management experience
• Digital marketing, social execution, and copywriting experience
• Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the Axios Local mission
• Customer-centric mindset and data-driven decision-making
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client success, account management, or marketing experience
