Software Engineer, FL

About the Role

You will work as a Software Engineer in Cloudflare's Front Line (FL) group, focusing on maintaining and developing the main Cloudflare web server. This involves processing over 150 million HTTP requests per second and working on a platform built entirely on Rust.

Key Responsibilities

• Increase the availability, safety, and reliability of the edge ecosystem.
• Improve the platform's reliability, availability, and security.
• Collaborate with various product and engineering teams at Cloudflare.

Requirements and Nice to Have

• Solid competencies in practical computer science, applying the right algorithms, data structures, and concurrency control systems.
• Experience in performance engineering.
• Driving communication and consensus across teams.
• Experience with languages like Rust and Go.
• Knowledge of web servers and web protocols.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and web security issues.
