Description

The Launch Program Coordinator will support and coordinate the overall process for product launches and product line decommissioning, ensuring delivery of products, key milestones, and product content.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor projects against schedules, costs, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate product transfers from external sites and capture customer requirements.
  • Determine manufacturing requirements and strategies with functional managers.
  • Develop packaging requirements and strategies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for purchasing decisions.
  • Validate new equipment and processes.
  • Manage end-of-life equipment disposition, including evaluation, documentation, and execution.
  • Track and maintain annual layout and supplier PPAP status.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean/FPS-aligned initiatives.
  • Report on key risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Conduct milestone meetings and document outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Automotive experience in a vehicle assembly plant.
  • Prior experience handling a unionized workforce.
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Leadership behaviors, interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
