Director- Business Finance

Job Overview

As Director - Business Finance at Meesho, you will lead the Business Finance team and partner with the Business function to strategize and enable capital allocation, growth, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a co-pilot for the business unit and actively participate in its operations and management decision-making.
• Develop financial plans (Annual and Long-range) along with various business and technology teams using a bottom-up approach.
• Review plans vs actuals on a regular basis; conduct in-depth analysis of variance and communicate proactively.
• Track and measure key financials and business metrics.
• Jointly own the OKRs of the respective business unit and build an AOP to achieve them.
• Complete account-level month-end closing reviews, procedures, and corrections as needed.
• Direct and oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of revenue cycle activities to optimize operations.
• Conduct periodic meetings with direct reports to ensure staff understand assigned tasks and can manage time constraints.
• Perform scenario analysis and develop business plans on product enhancements or business initiatives.
• Handle ad-hoc requests and problem-solving with a short turnaround time.
• Participate in and drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience.
• Chartered Accountant or Post-Graduate in Finance with first-principle thinking.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Finance.
• Strong analytical rigor and problem-solving skills.
