Description
WSP is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for their Minneapolis office to work on building projects with the Property & Buildings Team.
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to designing and delivering electrical systems for various building projects, including commercial, healthcare, and higher education developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing building electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems
- Performing electrical engineering calculations, including load calculations and voltage drop analyses
- Supporting the preparation of construction drawings and project documentation
- Developing engineering designs using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and building systems design
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications include experience with commercial, healthcare, or higher education facilities, power system analysis software, and progress toward Professional Engineer licensure.

The expected salary range for this position is $74,100 - $101,900.
