As a Development Manager in EA SPORTS Tech, you will partner with Technical Artists to support the successful delivery of tools, workflows, and content across EA SPORTS. The Technical Art team is a central service team that supports multiple game development projects, each with different timelines, priorities, and delivery needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for Technical Artists by tracking work, following up on open items, and maintaining clear team information.
  • Help clarify production priorities and align team efforts with project goals by gathering information, tracking dependencies, and supporting conversations with internal and external partners.
  • Facilitate collaboration within the Technical Art team and with partner teams, identifying blockers, surfacing risks, and resolving open issues early.
  • Partner with the Development Director and Technical Art Directors to support team planning, onboarding, resourcing conversations, and development opportunities for team members.

Execution:

  • Support the team in executing against milestones, deliverables, and project commitments across multiple EA SPORTS projects.
  • Track task progress, dependencies, risks, and capacity, escalating concerns to the Development Director, Technical Art Directors, and project leadership when needed.
  • Partner with production and Technical Art leadership to balance scope, quality, and timelines.

Project Management:

  • Partner with the Development Director to support sprint planning, retrospectives, task tracking, and project reporting.
  • Maintain Technical Art project plans, backlogs, dashboards, and team documentation to ensure information is accurate and accessible.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of project management, production, or team coordination experience in software development, game development, or a related technical environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Interactive Entertainment, Commerce, Digital Arts, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum frameworks is an asset, as is familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools.
