We're looking for a Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation to join our team in Brea, CA. As a claims professional with California workers' compensation experience, you will analyze complex or technically difficult claims to determine benefits due, work with high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, and ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and process complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim
- Manage claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution
- Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority
- Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves to claims
- Prepare necessary state filings within statutory limits
- Manage the litigation process and ensure timely and cost-effective claims resolution
Requirements:
- 5 years of workers compensation claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- California jurisdictional knowledge required
- SIP required or must be obtained within one year of hire date
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000
