Physical Therapist

We are seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to join our team at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Pediatrics: I/P Acute Therapy.

The Physical Therapist will interpret physician referrals, complete evaluations, establish plans of care, and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary evaluations
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Providing patient/family teaching and discharge planning
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation
• Participating in performance improvement activities and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Intermediate computer skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills

Physical demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
• Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation
• Exposure to electrical and chemical hazards, blood and body fluids
