Description
WSP is seeking a Consultant - Fire and Life Safety Engineering for their Houston, TX office.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and guidance as a mentor to ensure the highest quality of fire protection and life safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop state-of-the-art fire protection and life safety systems designs
- Provide expert technical guidance and solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulations
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and technological advancements
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and drive innovation
- Lead the development and execution of fire protection and life safety strategies
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality solutions
- Review and approve project designs, calculations, and documentation
- Stay current with evolving building codes and contribute to company-wide strategies for code compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- 3-5 years of experience in fire protection and life safety industry
- Deep understanding of Building and Fire Codes, Standards, and Regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of REVIT and/or AutoCAD
- Experience in fire protection engineering design applications

Compensation: $85,200 - $117,000
