Legal Counsel, Employment

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Employment Counsel to add to its growing Legal Department. This attorney will provide thoughtful and strategic employment guidance for a fast-paced company developing cutting-edge defense technology.

The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to Anduril's People Team and other stakeholders, providing expert legal advice and counseling on a wide range of employment issues across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on employment issues including recruiting, hiring, termination, employee relations, and benefits
• Partner with the People Team to support discrete employee matters such as investigations and performance management issues
• Develop protocols for programs such as conducting workplace audits and classification reviews
• Draft, review, and maintain global employment policies and standard operating procedures
• Prepare and revise employment agreements, including offer letters and contractor agreements
• Maintain self-service tools and employment-related resources
• Facilitate collection of data and preparation of state and federally-mandated employment reports
• Review and evaluate HR platforms and provide guidance on features
• Assist in investigations and respond to inquiries or charges from state or federal agencies
• Provide tactical support to outside counsel on employment-related claims and litigation

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of employment law experience
• Deep knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws
• Significant comfort in advising on HR issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fast and effective writer
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• U.S. Person status
• Licensed to practice law in CA, OH, or D.C.
• Willing and able to meet daily in-office requirement
• Willing and able to travel 15% of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Combination of law firm and in-house experience
• Prior experience supporting an international workforce
• Experience with workplace safety regulations and compliance
• Experience with engineering, software, or technology companies

Salary Range: $253,000-$336,000 USD
