Description

Join AIA Investment Management as a Business Manager, Operational Due Diligence & Outsourcing. You'll partner with Investment, Operations, and Corporate Support teams to drive continuous improvement across AIAIM's operating model. This involves identifying process inefficiencies, enhancing operational controls, and strengthening operational due diligence, outsourcing governance, and risk oversight capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and root cause reviews across Investment, Operational, and Support functions.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support audit readiness.
  • Support COO Office in preparing operational risk and control updates for internal governance forums.
  • Coordinate small-scale initiatives or process pilots within the Investment, Operational, and Support functions.
  • Track operational performance metrics under the purview of AIAIM COO Office.
  • Support internal AIAIM communications from the COO's office to ensure consistent messaging across teams.
  • Support the COO in talent development initiatives and succession planning in collaboration with HR.
  • Support the COO in Contract Ownership to help maintain and enhance vendor and stakeholder relationships and in support Strategic Partnerships Programme.
  • Monitor and track progress of business plans and KPIs.
  • Coordinate management meetings, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.

Executive Communications & Reporting:

  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting frameworks.
  • Act as liaison between the COO office and internal departments to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Project & Change Management:

  • Support or lead special projects from an SME perspective and change management initiatives, including digital transformation and process optimization.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvements in coordination with key teams.

Governance & Risk Oversight:

  • Assist in coordinating audit, compliance, and regulatory activities related to investment operations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, operational risk practices, and governance standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with senior leaders across Investments, Group Office, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams.
  • Represent the COO's office in cross-functional working groups or steering committees as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of Management Consulting and/or Project Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of private and public investment markets and end-to-end investment processes across front and back office.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with and handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Project and change management experience.
  • Independent and strong self-initiative.
