Description
We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our team in Montreal, QC, Canada. As a Web Developer at Ubisoft, you will contribute to the creation of strategic tools related to resource management, project tracking, and data analysis. You will participate in the entire software development cycle, including analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse business and technical needs related to web applications;
- Participate in the design, development, and evolution of Compass platforms;
- Develop new features using best Fullstack development practices;
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and secure APIs;
- Collaborate with product team members, analysts, and other developers to propose solutions adapted to needs;
- Identify the most suitable technologies, tools, and approaches to meet project requirements;
- Evaluate technical impacts, risks, and dependencies of developments on existing systems;
- Estimate the effort required to carry out developments;
- Develop efficient, maintainable, and scalable code;
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of software quality;
- Support, maintain, and document applications;
- Analyse, optimise, split, or refactor existing features to improve platform performance and maintainability;
- Respond effectively to changes in priorities and requirements;
- Participate in a culture of continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with relevant technological advancements;
- Perform other related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant combination of education and experience;
- Significant experience in Fullstack web development;
- Experience in designing and developing high-impact and large-scale web applications;
- Experience in API and web service development;
- Experience in needs analysis and complex problem-solving.
Required Skills:
- Mastery of React and TypeScript;
- Mastery of C# and ASP.NET Core;
- Solid knowledge of modern web application development;
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles;
- Experience in designing and integrating REST APIs;
- Knowledge of software development practices promoting quality, performance, and maintainability;
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Analytical mindset, organisational sense, and solution-oriented approach.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SQL;
- Knowledge of Node.js;
- Experience in an Agile development environment;
- Experience with data analysis platforms or internal tools intended for multiple teams or organisations.
