Demand & Production Planner

We are seeking a Demand & Production Planner to join our team at our headquarters in Maintal, near Frankfurt am Main.

As a Demand & Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and continuously adapting production plans and production orders, taking into account customer orders, forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacities in consultation with production management.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse customer requirements, historical consumption data, and seasonal fluctuations to derive a rolling demand plan
• Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, purchasing, warehouse, shipping, quality assurance, and production to ensure realistic and stable planning
• Prioritise production orders in the event of short-term changes, backlogs, or conflicting objectives between delivery capability, inventory, utilisation, and costs
• Monitor and evaluate raw material, packaging, and finished goods inventories in relation to planned production and customer requirements
• Identify potential bottlenecks in materials, capacity, plant availability, or delivery deadlines and escalate transparently to production management
• Maintain relevant planning and master data in the ERP system and support improvements in data quality
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate key performance indicators, such as delivery reliability, planning fulfilment, backlogs, inventory turnover, and production utilisation
• Contribute to optimising planning processes, coordination routines, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements:

• Completed commercial, technical, or logistical training, or a degree in business administration, supply chain management, production, logistics, or a related field
• Professional experience in production planning, work preparation, disposition, supply chain, material planning, or demand planning
• Good understanding of production processes, material flows, inventory levels, delivery times, and capacity planning
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with planning and evaluation tools is advantageous
• Analytical thinking and ability to structure data, requirements, inventory, and capacities and derive reliable planning proposals
• High communication and coordination skills when dealing with production, sales, purchasing, warehouse, shipping, and quality assurance
• Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-oriented
• Resilience and moderation skills in the event of short-term changes, bottlenecks, or prioritisation conflicts
• Basic knowledge of lean management, KVP, or process optimisation is desirable
