Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Indirect Procurement Technology team at Target. As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a specialist in the engineering team that supports the product. You will help develop and gain insight in the application architecture, distill an abstract architecture into concrete design, and influence the implementation.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications that support indirect planning, purchasing, and operational workflows. You will build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, while developing reliable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement architecture for scalable applications
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong domain-specific knowledge regarding Target’s technology capabilities
- Experience developing modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
