Description
Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Franchise and Legal Solutions (FLS) program team. The successful candidate will lead software engineering projects, create enhanced software solutions, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
- Research alternative technical solutions for changing business needs
- Manage overall cloud architecture and investigate new technologies
- Create solutions with high levels of innovation, cost-effectiveness, and quality
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify opportunities and scope
- Develop strategic technical plans and architecture proposals
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and guide other team members
- Lead production incident and problem management
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with object-oriented design and programming, Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development
- Hands-on experience with front-end technology stacks like React JS and/or Angular is an advantage
- Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry or other cloud platforms is preferred
- Experience in delivering secure solutions in the financial services sector is preferred
