WUSA9, a TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C., seeks experienced Multi-Skilled Journalists. As a reporter, you will break stories, shoot and edit on deadline, and connect with audiences across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Break exclusive stories impacting the community
• Deliver compelling live shots during breaking news
• Shoot, write, produce, and edit stories for various platforms
• Use innovative production techniques to elevate reporting
• Leverage social media and digital tools for research and distribution
• Build strong sources and pitch story ideas
• Write engaging content and uphold journalistic integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
• Minimum 5 years of on-air reporting experience in a medium-to-large market
• Proven track record of breaking news coverage and original reporting
• Proficiency in shooting, lighting, and non-linear editing
• Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills
• Familiarity with newsroom systems and digital tools
