Description

NVIDIA's Generalist Embodied Agent Research (GEAR) group is seeking a research intern to build humanoid robot foundation models and systems. The goal is to develop general-purpose embodied agents that can learn to explore and master complex skills across virtual and physical worlds.

As a research intern, you will work with a collaborative team to design and implement novel AI algorithms and models for humanoid robots and embodied agents. You will also develop large-scale AI training and inference methods for foundation models, optimize and deploy AI models in physical simulation and on robot hardware, and collaborate with research and engineering teams to transfer research to products and services.

To be successful in this role, you should be pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. You should have outstanding engineering skills in rapid prototyping and model training frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, Tensorflow, etc.) and excellent skills in working with large-scale machine learning/AI systems and computer infrastructure. Experience with multimodal foundation models or robotics is also required.

The internship hourly rate is between 38 USD and 94 USD, depending on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience. You will also be eligible for intern benefits.
