Description
The Senior Ocean Operations Associate plays a critical role in Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone.
You will help build an operational performance framework, processes, and tools to measure Ocean Partner performance across the local market. You will use Flexport allocation tools to actively route cargo to ocean carrier contracts with the optimal cost, transit time, and allocation availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving performance management of Flexport's freight forwarding, customs partners, and Ocean carriers
- Being a trusted advisor and coach to partners
- Identifying partner training needs and designing training programs
- Defining and refining operational performance and product adoption metrics
- Preparing presentations and analysis for monthly and quarterly partner reviews
- Creating enablement resources for internal teams
You should have:
- A BA/BS degree with 5+ years of professional logistics or supply chain experience
- Experience in Ocean Export Operations (TPEB), specifically shipments from East Asia to USA and Canada
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strategic vision and execution capabilities
- Prior experience managing programs and initiatives from end to end
- Ability to identify win-win commercial and operational opportunities
- Data-driven insights to inform decisions and process improvements
- Strong relationship-building skills globally
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
