Priory Hospital Woodbourne is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team.
The successful candidate will drive the implementation and delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across the service, working collaboratively with individuals, colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive, person-centred approaches that improve wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support behavioural assessments and the delivery of PBS interventions.
- Deliver person-centred care and therapeutic activities.
- Assist with the implementation and review of individual care plans.
- Promote a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.
- Contribute to high-quality, innovative, and holistic mental health services.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or a related field, such as Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or Autism Studies.
- Experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and reviewing PBS interventions, with experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and the Mental Health Act (1983), alongside experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is also required.
