Description
The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.
As a SMIT, you will participate in a 16-week self-paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating effectively with your team, both verbally and in writing
- Providing high-quality customer service
- Executing merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth
- Managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability
We expect our SMITs to:
- Actively engage with their leader in Key Learning Experiences
- Support their store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies
- Engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health
- Be willing to accept promotion roles within their designated market
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market
